Tuesday is not just a great day to be Irish, but a great day to partake in the annual Spring party that is St. Patrick's Day in Peoria. We'll be out in the masses again and at Kelleher's Irish Pub and Eatery on Water Street, downtown Peoria after the parade, giving away Irish-themed koozies.
The 35th annual downtown parade starts at 11 a.m. Tim will cautiously drive the GLO van through the streets, trying not to run over your kids and grand kids who dart in front of him into the streets, trying to grab candy on the pavement. Tim and I will be at Kelleher's in the afternoon. I'll attempt to do my show there live under the big tent, near the stairs leading into Kelleher's..
Kelleher's is said to host the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in the state of Illinois! It starts early there, with the pre-parade full Irish breakfast. Enjoy Green Bud and Bud Light from Brewery's Distributing, live Irish music, bagpipes, a huge selection of Irish beers and stouts – all inside the heated tents on Water Street and indoors, of course, too. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Kelleher's, Brewers Distributing and Peoria's Classic Rock Station, 95.5, GLO.
